Dr. Ulrike Boehm

Ulrike is a physicist with a passion for community building/engagement, outreach, and teaching. She has over ten years of experience designing, building, and running advanced optical systems and analyzing microscopy data. After research stays in Munich, Göttingen, and Washington, DC, to design and build new tools for electron microscopy and light microscopy, she is now part of the corporate research department at the Carl Zeiss AG in Oberkochen, Germany. At ZEISS, she works as an optical scientist and project lead on the latest optical trends for imaging, microscopy, and optical metrology. In addition, Ulrike is a huge advocate for women/diversity in science.
