Prof. Véronique Vitry

Prof. Véronique Vitry is a graduate from the Engineering Faculty of UMONS and has occupied various positions there since she got her PhD in 2010.

She’s leading a research team working in various areas of materials science and engineering: surface treatments, recycling, metallurgical processes, and materials durability and actively supports local companies through failure analysis and expertise work.

She’s the recipient of several awards, including the 2020 Silver Medal of ASM International.

She’s active in several professional societies, boards, and in the leadership of her institution.
